mora l. panic

If you’ve been following my art for a while, you’re probably familiar with my bro Ken Machine. Mora L. Panic is the character that I developed while doing art and doodles for Nothing But Thieves’ third studio album.

It’s fun to have a character to put in different settings. She’s the subject of my There Was Sun painting as well (see that post here). I used her to get familiar with using 3D models in Clip Studio Paint. I’m currently working on a piece using that technique as well, and was going to post it today, but ultimately didn’t want to rush the process – it’s unfinished and that’s okay, I’ve got a ton of older art lying around that wants to be in the spotlight of a post on here.

Mora is quite mysterious. I’m still getting to know her. It’s fun to make up a character and discover things about them while working with them. I know Ken Machine quite well, and there’s definitely going to be a post about him at some point. But fleshing out Mora is taking a little more time. I want to start doing nicer sketchbooks, and once I’ve decided on which actual book to buy she’ll probably be on a lot of the pages.
